Our Staff & Volunteers

Rev. Robert W. Nowak (pronounced “No-Walk”) is the vacancy pastor at Good Shepherd.  Retired from full time ministry in March of 2011.  He has  served at four different calls that began in January 1980—Immanuel-St. Paul Lutheran Churches, Fergus Falls, MN,  Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Circle Pines, MN, Faith Lutheran Church, Lincoln, NE and Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Prior Lake, MN. Currently he is president of the Haiti Lutheran Mission Society. He and His wife, Bonnie, have been married since November of 1978.  They have three adult children, all born in Korea and adopted by them—Matthew, Timothy and Amelia. They live in Prior Lake, MN.

            Office hours will be on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Please feel free to call or stop by.

     

Marjorie Hemmann has been a member at Good Shepherd since 1969 and started working tn the office in 1972. Secretarial duties along with being our Business Manager (and whatever else needs to be done) have grown during the years. She is married to her best friend, Gary, and lives on a farm northwest of Glencoe. The couple has 2 children, Melissa and Brandon, along with 4 grandchildren (Kyle, Kelsey, Dane, and Keira), they are a joy and a blessing to their lives. Gary and Marjorie are both involved at church, and have served in various capacities. In their spare time, they enjoy dancing, camping, fishing, and gardening.

Cathy Meyer joined us on staff as  secretary in November 2013 and is a great fit at GSLC. Cathy is married to Michael, who is an avid bass fisherman, former Marine, and is employed with ACC Midwest Transportation. They have two children together: Michael Jr., who attends GSL, and participates in Cross Country, Wrestling, and Track. He also races BMX. Rachael attends First Lutheran School in Glencoe,  is involved in Musical at school, enjoys singing, and loves being at church whenever she can.

Ted Stroming is serving Good Shepherd as our DCE since March   2015. Ted has been in church work for 25 years, and calls Hutchinson, MN, his home. Ted is married to Corrina, and together enjoy three children-Leah, Caroline, and Andrew. Ted is excited for the opportunities to do ministry and get to acquainted with the students and families at Good Shepherd.
