Good Shepherd Church (LCMS)

Our Building:

The sanctuary of Good Shepherd is vast and inspiring. Seating 450+, we enjoy the sound of instruments & musicians proclaiming God's glory! Our worship can only be described as a "Festival" in that it is lively, moving, and joyful. We employ (on various occasions) the organ, piano, keyboard, violins, and guitar to lead our response of praise for what our gracious God has done for us! It is appropriate for us to recognize that we gather together in HIS name, to sing HIS praises, and to HIS glory!

Our Worship:

God is praised in so many ways through the pages of Scripture. We cannot begin to realize the magnitude of God?s love for us, and the ways we can respond to that amazing love are not limited. We cherish the singing of ?hymns and spiritual songs? as keys to letting our heart join our head in worship of our great God!

Our People:

We are blessed to have Marjorie Hemmann, Cindy Longhenry, Gretchen Haukos and Melissa Pinske. These women are our primary organists and pianists.

Our Youth Worship Team has played a small handful of times over the past 3 months, but it is a new group and it is exciting to have these young people lead a different style of worship to the exact same living God!

The Community Strings make their home at Good Shepherd. Led by Jack Noennig and Melissa Pinske, this group of stringed instruments will be practicing through the Summer, and is considering another concert in December again!

Our Instruments:

Our church organ is a Rodgers 837, purchased brand-new and dedicated in April of 2002.

The CVP-305 is a Clavinova ? a piano-like instrument that plays a variety of sounds, can record music, and is useful to our soloists in rehearsal times. This instrument was dedicated to the glory of God in September, 2006.
